Info about the opera
Music by Gaetano Donizetti. Bergamo, 1797-1848. Libretto by Giovanni Ruffini and Gaetano Donizetti, based on the one Angelo Anelli wrote for the opera by Stefano Pavesi, Ser Marcantonio (1810). Dramma buffo in three acts. Premiered at the Teatro Italiano in Paris, the 3 of January of 1843.

Libretto by David Henry Hwang, translated into Spanish by Osvaldo Golijov. Opera in one act and three images. Premiered at the Tanglewood Music Festival, the 10 of August by 2003. Premiere of the revised version, The Santa Fe Opera, 30 of July of 2005. New coproduction of the Opera of Oviedo, International Festival of Music and Dance of Granada and International Festival of Santander.

Libretto by Lorenzo Da Ponte, inspired by the libretto by Giovanni Bertati for the opera Don Giovanni or sia Il Convitato di Pietra (1787), by Giuseppe Gazzaniga and in the works Dom Juan ou Le Festin by Pierre (1665), by Molière and by The mockery of Seville and invited stone (1630), Tirso de Molina.
