This 21 of May 2011 is celebrated the International Classical Lakes of Covadonga 2011, homage to Chechu Rubiera.
This year the "classic" has a very special flavor to be dedicated to an Asturian man, who everyone appreciates in the world of cycling and which they honor, is the Chechu Rubiera cyclist. Few athletes have achieved such a great affection and affection in the sports race among the public and among the athletes themselves as he does, and this year he accompanies the participants in the race.

This is the route:
Cangas de Onis, direction Arriondas and from here by the national 634 to Ribadesella Km. 23,500.
Then, drive along the As-263 towards Llanes until you reach Celorio, Km. 46,8 of the test, here you turn right Ctra LLN8 towards Porrúa, in Porrúa the first refreshment station will be located. We continue along this road to Parres, towards Alto de la Tornería km. 58,8, is a port of 3,500 kms but the last two and a half with a percentage of unevenness that reach 12%, then a long descent of 9 Km. With very dangerous curves until Huera de Meré, Km. 69, where we link with the As-115 road, Alto de la Robellada Km. 75, (here the second aid station is located) right turn As-114 road, descent to Soto de Cangas Km. 90,900, crossing the As-262 road to Covadonga Km. 98 and Lakes of Covadonga, where the test is finished after 110 kms.
