The next stop of the Carnival in the eastern Asturian region is in Cangas de Onís, which will celebrate the Antroxu on Saturday 7 of March; the event is organized by several bars, in collaboration with the City Council, Incatur, the Company of Celebration of Cangas (Sofeca) and the company Fusion.
The parade will depart from the Santa Cruz Chapel at nine o'clock at night and will go through the main streets of the town of Canguesa.
This year will be distributed around 4.000 euros among all winners and three categories are established: individual, groups and floats and charangas, with three winners each. There will also be a shop window contest with carnival motifs, where the best decorated will receive a prize of 150 euros. All prizes will be delivered in the Camila Beceña square, next to the municipal offices, around the 23.30 hours, in an act that will be led by Emilio Prada and Patricia Otero.
For the largest number of people to come this year, Alsa will set up a special service for Shuttle buses from Arriondas to Cangas de Onís at 23 hours, and back to 6 and 7 hours. In addition, the organizers will put on sale special shirts that will sell for ten euros.
