Cabrales will be the headquarters of the 25 from August to the 1 of September of 2013, the location of the camp is established in the town of Arenas de Cabrales.
The activities to be developed will all start from the Arenas de Cabrales car park located at the entrance of the road that goes to the Cares route, with all those participating in this place concentrating before 9 hours each morning.
Participation in the camp of the Spanish Mountain Sports and Climbing Federation is exclusively reserved for Federados FEDME. Attendees who lack such a license will be processed through the organizer of the event, FEMPA.
The routes to be developed in this camp are established in three categories, according to the difficulty and duration of the route:
High mountain routes: altitude greater than 1000 and 7-8 hours of travel, only for people in very good physical condition.
Medium mountain routes: approximate altitude of 700 meters and duration of 5 to 6 hours.
Hiking routes: altitude less than 500 meters and approximate duration of 3- 4 hours
High mountain routes will reach the highest peaks of the Picos de Europa (Torrecerredo, Peña Castil, Morra Lechugales, etc ...) overnight even in the shelter of Urriellu.
For the children from 6 to 12 years there will be available a Nursery Service, with monitors that (from the 9,00-9,30 in the morning and up to the 14,00- 15,00 hours) will attend to those who are in their care, developing games, workshops and other activities that are programmed.
At the same time talks, screenings and lectures on the National Park and its environment, history, fauna, flora, etc. will be organized daily.
