Exposure "When the Earth trembles: volcanoes and earthquakes", is exhibited until the next August 31 in the Jurassic Museum of Asturias.
This temporary sample offers accurate information about the energy of the Earth so that visitors know and understand these natural phenomena: volcanoes and earthquakes.
Through large format posters, audiovisuals, modules, models or interactive, the public can discover interesting data about a field of geology that has experienced a rapid development during the last decades. The sample has 6 didactic areas:
1 · The Earth. A dynamic planet and full of energy.
2 · Volcanoes: a window into the interior of the Earth.
3 · Earthquakes: we do not know when, but where, how and why.
4 · The May 11 earthquake of 2011 in Lorca, Murcia.
5 · The thermal waters.
6 · Earthquakes and volcanoes in Asturias.
· Special activities:
22 in April, cooking workshop "Volcanoes and volcanic rocks to eat" aimed at the family audience.
23 in April, children's workshop "Care: volcanoes and earthquakes" for children from 4 to 11 years.
10 March - 30 June: Saturdays and Sundays of 11: 30 to 14: 30 hours and 16: 30 to 19: 00 hours.
1 for July - 31 for August: daily, from 11: 30 to 15: 00 and from 16: 30 to 20: 00 hours.
· The entrance to this temporary sample has a price of 1,50 euros.
· Members of the Club Cultura Asturias and Carné Joven can access this exhibition free of charge on 1 days in April, 6 in May, 3 in June, 1 in July and 5 in August.
